Talking Menopause was set up in 2017 by Sarah Davies, then Business Manager at Menopause Doctor and Lynda Bailey, a former West Midlands Police Inspector and leader of an award-winning menopause programme within the police force.
After being introduced by Dr Louise Newson, a GP who specialises in perimenopause and menopause, Talking Menopause was created.
Our team of experienced consultants, including business coaches and menopause experts, are all committed to raising awareness of menopause in the workplace.
With clients including Devon & Cornwall Police, HMRC, Irwin Mitchell, 3M, Paragon Bank, BT and many more, we pride ourselves on individually tailoring our programmes to each organisation’s culture.
Our data is shared with researchers at the University of Leicester, the first university to introduce a menopause policy. By working together in this way, we can achieve a greater understanding of attitudes to the menopause. And this brings us closer to our goal of menopause being accepted at work by everyone.

Sarah Davies, Co-Founder & Director
Sarah is a multi-lingual, experienced and qualified business coach, facilitator and trainer who previously spent over 15 years in senior international corporate roles before recruiting senior executives at Heidrick & Struggles.
Earlier in her career, Sarah worked in the IT Services Industry at Fujitsu-ICL, working in International business development and client management positions for global clients. She also worked at Thomas Cook running their B2B Global and Financial Services business for Western and Southern Europe.
Sarah feels passionate about making a difference to people’s lives and was Business Manager to Dr Louise Newson, helping her launch www.menopausedoctor.co.uk which led her to set up Talking Menopause to educate and support men and women across all levels on the impact of menopause at work.
Lynda Bailey, Co-Founder & Director
Lynda Bailey has worked in the public sector for 30 years, 20 at management level. She has led change programmes in the workplace and has experienced the cultural and leadership challenges these can bring. She always made a positive difference and provided a high level of service to both the public and her colleagues.
She was a pioneer in West Midlands Police with her menopause initiative and programme and still remains a volunteer to ensure this valuable work continues.
She is keen to continue providing this high level of service in educating others around the impact of menopause in the workplace which is why she is now one of the co-founders of Talking Menopause.
